Project Description

Wine Tasting at Antinori Winery in Tuscany
In the middle of the Tuscan countryside and surrounded by a large vineyard, stands the Cantina Antinori, a fascinating and unusual place. The winery was inaugurated in 2012 and was built entirely with local materials, showing great respect for the environment and the Tuscan landscape.
Conceived to have a low environmental impact and high energy savings, the winery is part of the “Toscana Wine Architecture” project, a circuit that combines wineries designed by great masters of contemporary architecture.
Virtually invisible from the outside, except for two long horizontal “slits” that cross the hill and correspond to the front of the building, its distinctive feature is a spectacular helical staircase that connects the three floors of the building.
Its particular design allows the vinification process “by gravity” which naturally guarantees the ideal temperature for the production and storage of wine.

The silence and peace of Tuscany, the centenary history of the place and the production techniques studied in every detail produce some of the best wines in Italy. The most typical vines of this area are: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Malvasia Nera and Mammolo.
The Antinori family has been linked to the production of wine for over six hundred years, a passion that has been handed down for 26 generations.
This experience will give you the opportunity to fully understand the unique bond between a family, its land and the wines it produces.
A bilingual sommelier will take you on an enological, gustatory and architectural journey inside the cellar, covering the more than six centuries of history of the Antinori family, while introducing you to the stages of wine production.
The experience ends in the heart of the museum area, a place that houses the family’s private collection, with a unique wine tasting in a scenic glass room.
